The exciting / scary thing is that Sebastian was born at 38 +5 weeks which really does mean that our newest little family member could be here any day now.
Preparations for the New Arrival
I have spent a lot of time this past week reflecting about being a Mamma and how we will get on when I have both my boys here. I’m sort of planning out in my head how we will work as a family and how i will be able to devote my time to the boys together and independently.
I have also been thinking alot about the birth i would like to have, and trying to visualise the birth. I did this alot before Sebastian was born and i think it helped.
Other than that, i feel alot like im just waiting now…
I’m starting to feel a little fed up, I’m trying to rest up as much as i can, and not over do it but often by the end of the day my back hurts and im i’ll be in labour soon.
My braxton hicks are coming quite frequently now, but only seem to come when im on my feet doing something, which makes me just want to sit down again as I get all uncomfortable!
My poor bladder is squashed to within an inch of its life, and any sneeze, cough or laugh results in a little trickle!! I’ve been doing pelvic floor excercises daily religiously for almost 3 years so I blame my mother, who has the weakest bladder I know!
I’m still at work, and i’m glad I made the decision to work right up to my due date as the three days im in work are actually proving to be quite restful, compared to running around after a toddler, even with the extremely long days.
As i said earlier 38 weeks is the last week of pregnany I have experienced, so im hopeful that i may not be writing a 39 weeks post next week… but also have a feeling that i’m going to be writing right up to 42 weeks!
Hurry up now baby… I cant wait to meet you!
